Radha Krishna Appear as Parrots in Vrindavana

Suka and Sari lovingly quarell about Youthful Divine Couple Shri Radhe Krishna.

Once In Bahulavana , Sriman Chaityna Mahaprabhu saw a female and male parrot (Sari and Suka) sitting opposite each other on two branches of a tree, lovingly quarrelling about the glories of the Divine Couple, Shri Radha -Krishna..

Suka: My Krishna is Madana-Mohana, the enchanter of Cupid’s mind.

Sari: Yes, He is as long as my Radha is at His left side. Otherwise, He is only Madana (Cupid).

Suka: My Krishna lifted Giriraja (Govardhana) on His finger.

Sari: Because my Radha transmitted power into Him; otherwise, how could He have done so?

Suka: My Krishna is the life of the whole universe.

Sari: My Radha is the life of that life.

Suka: My Krishna head is beautifully decorated with a peacock feather.

Sari: Only because my Radha’s name is marked on that feather.

Suka: The peacock-feather on my Krishna’s head leans to the left.

Sari: Because it wants to bow down to my Radha’s feet.

Suka: My Krishna is the moon.

Sari: My Radha is the trap that captures that moon.

Suka: There is no need to quarrel uselessly. Let us glorify the Youthful Couple together.

Sari: I happily agree to this.

This loving quarrel between the Suka and Sari is also described in Govinda-Lilamrita. Here, the male parrot says :

“May our Lord Jaga mohana, whose unparalleled beauty plunders the wealth of patience of an innumerable multitude of women, whose world-famous glory astounds even Lakshmi devi, whose strength turns the majestic Govardhana mountain into a child’s toy, who has unlimited qualities, whose simple disposition entertains everyone, and whose glory substantiates the welfare of the entire universe, protect the entire world.”

Hearing this, the female parrot replies :

“Suka, Shri Radhika’s divine love, beauty, dancing, excellent calmness, expertise in music, wealth of good qualities, and poetic compositions, or in other words, Her erudition, are all so attractive that She steals away the heart of Sri Krishna, who enchants the mind of the entire universe.”

The male parrot then says :

“Dear Sari, all glories to Sri Madana-Mohana, the enchanter of Cupid, who carries a flute. He steals the heart of all the women in the entire universe, and enjoys with the gopies.”

After hearing the parrot’s loving quarrel, Sriman Mahaprabhu watched the dance of the peacocks. Seeing their bluish necks He remembered Krishna and became so overwhelmed in ecstatic love that He fell down on the earth in a faint.

Glory be to Youthful Divine Couple Shri Radha- Shri Krishna

Bhishma to Yudhistira

Bhishma said thus: “O Dharmaja!

Once Kamadhenu did Tapassu. Brahma appeared before Kamadhenu and asked Kamadhenu “What do you want?”.

“O Brahma! Your appearance before me itself is sufficient. I dont want anything more than that. I am blessed.” said Kamadhenu.

Brahma was happy with those words. “O Kamadhenu! henceforth, goloka will be above Brahma (Satya) loka.” said Brahma.

O Dharmaja! that is the dignity and glory of Cows.” said Bhishma.

“O Grandisre! Where do the persons who performed Godaanaa, stay? Where is that place?” asked Dharmaja.

“O Dharmaja! That place is called Goloka. There you do not find running of time.viz., days, months, seasons etc. There are no diseases, old age, thirst and hunger. They alwlays enjoy pleasures and happiness. In that Goloka, those who speak truth alwlays, who worship their preceptors, who control their mind and sense organs, who possess pure mind; also enjoy pleasures there.

Therefore, Dharmaja! amongst all charities, Godaana is best. But one should earn money legally and lalwfully, purchase cows and then perform Godaana. One should not perform Godaana, with other’s money. Therefore Dharmaja! you also perform Godaana alwlays and attain higher regions.” said Bhishma to Dharmaja, the fruits of Godaana.

Golokarohanam

Kali-yuga - first 10,000 years

Predicted in Brahma-vaivarta Purana 4.129.*. The fourth part of the Brahma-vaivarta is called Krsna-janma-khanda.

Chapter 129 is called Golokarohanam, because it describes how Krsna returns to His abode.

The general dialogue is between Lord Narayana and Narada Muni. This specific dialogue is between Lord Krsna and Mother Ganga.

Verse 49 is a question by Ganga, verses 50-60 are Krsna's answer.

Text 49:
bhaagiirathy uvaaca
he naatha ramaNaSreStha
yaasi golokamuttamam

"Ganga said: O protector, Supreme enjoyer, on your departure for the perfect abode, Goloka, thereafter what will be my situation in the age of Kali?"

Text 50

"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Remain on earth for five thousand years of Kali yuga. Sinners will deposit their sins in you by bathing."

Text 51

"By the sight, touch and bathing of one who worships Me by My mantra all those sins will be at once burnt to ashes, O Ganga."

Text 52

Text 53:

"Sinful reactions including the killing of a brahmana can be nullified be hearing the [Bhagavata] Purana and chanting of the names of Hari in the manner of devotees."

Text 54:

"Just as dry grass is burnt by fire, by the embrace of Vaisnavas all sins are burnt."

Text 55:

paapaani paapinaamapi
pRthivyaaM yaani tiirthaani
puNyaanyapi ca jaahnavi
"O Ganga, the whole planet will become a pilgrimage site by the presence of Vaisnavas, even though it had been full of sinners and sins."

Text 56:
madbhaktaanaaM SariireSu
santi puteSu saMtatam
madbhaktapaadarajasaa
sadyaH putaa vasundharaa
"In the body of My devotees remains eternally [the purifier]. Mother Earth becomes pure by the dust of the feet of My devotees."

Text 57:
sadyaH putaani tiirthaani
sadyaH putaM jagat tathaa
man-maMtropaasakaa vipraa
ye maducchiSRbhojinaH
"It will be the same in the case of pilgrimage sites and the whole world. Those intelligent worshipers of My mantra who partake of My remnants will purify everything."

Text 58

te mat praaNaadhikaaH priyaaH
tad upasparSa maatreNa
puto vaayuSca paavakaH
"Those, who everyday meditate only on Me, are more dear to Me than My life. The air and fire become pure simply by their indirect touch."
[Note: Sastra says that of all material elements, fire and air are always pure. Even though the air carries some impurities it always remains itself pure. This verse indicates that the Vaisnavas will purify even the pure elements of fire and air, therefore the purifying potency of the Vaisnavas referred to in this verse is not material but completely spiritual. I.e. the air and fire are _already_ materially pure, therefore the Vaisnavas purity is spiritual and not material.]

Text 59:
kaler daSa-sahasraaNi
madbhaktaaH saMti bhu-tale
ekavarNaa bhaviSyaMti
madbhakteSu gateSu ca
"For 10,000 years of Kali such devotees of Mine will be present on earth. After the departure of My devotees there will be only one varna [outcaste]."

Text 60:

kaligrastaa bhaviSyati
etasminnaMtare tatra
kRSNadehaadvinirgataH
"Devoid of My devotees, the earth will be shackled by Kali. Saying this, Krsna departed."
The above is supported in 4.90.32-33:
kalau daZa-sahasrAni
haris tiSThati medinI
devAnAM pratimA pUjyA
ZAstrANi ca purANakam
"(Sri Krsna said:) Lord Hari will stay on this earth for the first ten-thousand years of Kali-yuga. For that time the deities of the demigods will be worshiped and the Puranas and scriptures will also be present."
tad-ardham api tIrthAni

"For half that period the Ganga and other holy places will be present. For half that period the village temples and the Vedas studied by learned brahmanas will be present."

Resulting timelime:
3102 BCE - Kaliyuga begins
+5000 - Ganga on earth (about 1900 CE, 414 Gaurabda)
+5000 - devotees on earth (about 6900 CE, 5414 Gaurabda)
(= 10 000 - Gaura era)

Desire Tree

In the eternal Kingdom of God Krishna Loka or Go Loka Vrindavan (Land of the Cows) there are desire trees or wish fulfilling trees there. One can get anything they want from these trees. But everyone there is only interested in things to serve the Divine Couple Sri Sri Radha and Krishna and their eternal associates. So there is no desire for personal sense gratification there. They will desire a mango or a Jewel or some wonderful thing for the pleasure of the All attractive Couple and they will enjoy and we will be so satisfied by that. It is not that we are not enjoying like anything as well. But it is not selfish enjoyment there. There are Surahbi cows as well that supply the most sweet milk and any desire one has. The rivers are flowing with nectar and everyone is full of love and bliss

I went to Golokam

"I went to Golokam…"To see him in person - the
divine little cowherd, the
savior of Gokulam,
I went to Golokam, I went
to my Lord's abode.
-----
Gopis all around blissful and bovine,
In their midst saw I, a palace so fine,
My eyes wet, tears pouring down as a rain,
To get to Achyutan's feet, the end divine,
(I went to Golokam, I went to my Lord's abode)
-----
Doors opened!, and Kannan came near,
A graceful embrace, his face close to my ear,
A few words, a divine whisper,
A promise, he'd forsake never,
And said, "Sath-guru is I", soft, but clear.
(I went to Golokam, I went to my Lord's abode)

This super natural, super conscious experience was penned down by Sri Swamigal
( in tamil) thus:

One night, I as usual returned to my room and laid down in my cot…
'Am I sleeping or is this a super conscious state in Meditation?'
I couldn't put my finger on exactly; it is as if I am in a trance; but I experience an unusual wave of bliss, which is totally novel to me! I suddenly experience a sharp pain all over my body.

What a surprise! A new body comes forth from my body. This new body sees my "other " body sleeping! Then I feel as if my body is sailing off in air somewhere. I am not in my control! But all along, that new experience of pure bliss and joy persists….
At last the body lands in some place, which is a totally different world. There I see many groups of women folk with their cloth covering their face as well, like the women folk of Rajasthan. I see these women in groups singing and dancing, yet not creating as much sound, as I thought that it should have! I only hear the sound of the group on which my eyes dwell upon! The whole world is bright and luminous! There are many cows, varieties of mansions and "Gopurams".

'Oh!, can a world be as beautiful and wonderful like this?'
'What is this place?'
At once, from somewhere deep within, I could hear a voice …
'This is GOLOKAM' (Lord Krishna's abode)
'Oh! so this is Golokam, the world of Sri Krishna! So, My lord has to be somewhere here!'
'How can I see him? How to have a glimpse of you , My Lord!'
I feel very perplexed and a little agitated too!
While I am fighting my tears, a big path appears before me. I intuitively take that as the path to reach Sri Krishna and I start running along the path. Someone stops me….
'Where are you running to?'
'To get to the lotus feet of Achyutan'
I can't control my tears, I weep and weep. The bystander just looks on without a word. I continue my run along this wonderful path. I behold a beautiful out-of-the-world palace (Mani Mandapam) with very intricate and wonderful decorations on the palace, made to the minutest detail. My path leads to this palace and ends there!
From a distance, I could make out that the palace is closed, but when I am just near the doors of the palace, the doors magically open.
The sight I behold inside.., its incredible; It looks like I will totally lose my breath. Even joy if it goes beyond a limit cannot be borne!. I understand this too, by this experience.
Yes!
.. the one whose glimpse is earnestly sought after by Brahma, Rudran, all devas, yogis and other celestial beings,
..the one who is the real embodiment of true love,
..the one who is called " Krishna" by the devotees who struggle to bear his love and grace
is sitting on an ornate throne with his lips playing a lovely smile!. Many, are sitting in front of Sri Krishna, singing Bhajans. When I see one of them, something in me tells that he is Oothukaadu Venkata Kavi, another, my intuition says is Sri Purandara Dasar. Like them, there are many many devotees in the hall...
Sri Gopalan looks up towards me and the four eyes meet,
He lovingly beckons me to come near him by a slight nod of his head.
I, dazed and wonderstuck, go near with bated breath and with my heart pounding. He immediately clasps me in a loving embrace and says a few things to me....
Suddenly I find that I am lying in my bed.
'Did I dream all this?'
'Was this all a hallucination!!'
'Or was this a divine vision?' I wasn't very sure.
'Let it be anything, when the very thought of this incident itself is so exhilarating and joyful, why worry about all these?!!'
